We are making our plans for the new fiscal year. If you have any suggestions for us, please feel free to contact us at 968-3239. I am happy to announce that our new employee, Jerome Azbell, is working on some things for teens between 7th-12th grades. He will be meeting with teens in this age group on July 19 at 1 pm here at the library. Any teen that is interested in participating is encouraged to attend.
On July 17, the library book club will be meeting at 1 pm to discuss The Mistress’s Daughter by A.M. Homes. The public is invited to attend.
Don’t forget to check out our new website. There are many features to assist you with your informational needs. For instance, you can click on our “links” page to find a link to The Tennessee Electronic Library. This is an online database that is great to use for homework, research assignments, and general interest information. We also have a link to READS, our free downloadable eBooks and audio books. You will also find a link to Volunteer Voices that provides online access to images of Tennessee’s rich culture and history. For local links, we have included our Chamber of Commerce, Beech River Culture Center and Museum, and the local newspapers.
If you run across something that needs a password to access, just give us a call. It is all free to residents of Henderson County.
