According to IRS figures, there are still approximately 612 SSA/VA benefit recipients in Henderson County who are still eligible to file an Economic Stimulus Payment tax return. Generally, these people could be eligible to receive at least $300 that results in thousands of dollars coming back to Henderson County.

In an effort to reach these people before the October 15 deadline, an IRS representative will be at the Library on Wednesday, September 3, from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm, to assist people in filling out their returns. The library is assisting by setting up appointments for this date. If you have not filed your income tax return and are a SSA/VA benefit recipient, call the library at 968-3239 to set up your appointment.
