The big news for this week is the Library Friends’ semi-annual used book sale. People have been so generous with their donations; we are expecting a great sale. If you are a Library Friends member, you may attend the special pre-sale on Tuesday, March 3, from 12:00 – 6:00 pm. The sale will be open to the general public beginning on Wednesday, March 4, at 9:00 am. The sale will run during the library’s operating hours Wednesday through Saturday.
There will be no tax assistance this week due to the book sale occupying the community room. FYI, the library requested and received some 1099 forms if anyone is still in need of this form.
Our last genealogy workshop was a huge success, and attendees asked that we do another one on Ancestry.com. We have scheduled for Mr. Robert Taylor to be with us on Monday, March 9, at 1:00 pm, to do a workshop for us on this topic. Make plans now to attend.
Preschool Story Time will be on March 10 at 10 am.
The library will also be hosting a special informative session at the library March 13, at 1:00 pm, on the “New Recovery Act. H & R Block staff member Charlene Bodkins will give you information on how this will affect you and your taxes.
The Library Book Club will be hosting author Julia McBee on March 19 at 1:00 pm as she discusses her book Flame. If you would like to read the library’s copy of this book before the meeting, please let us know.
