The Henderson County Folk Festival is just around the corner. The date for this year’s event is Saturday, May 9, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. It will be held on Court Square, downtown Lexington. The Festival Committee (Harry Epperson, Dinah Harris, Judy Maness, Charlotte Moore, Judy Sanders, Hester Stich, Bobby Dean Williams, and Paul Williams) has been meeting regularly over the last year working on the arrangements. This year’s festival will feature live music, an antique and classic car show, and between 35-40 different booths. The booths feature demonstrators of traditional crafts, vendors of traditional foods, and various non-profits from the area. It promises to be a great day of community fellowship, and best of all it is free! Mark your calendar now, bring your lawn chair, and plan to spend the day with us!
