We just finished our special children’s programming for the summer and are now ready to begin our focus on the teens. Our Teen Summer Reading Program begins July 1. Youth who will be entering the 7th through the 12th grades in the fall are invited to participate. For every book checked out from the library and read during the month of July, the teen will receive one entry for the prizes to be given away. Prizes will be drawn for on July 31 at 3:00 pm. Prizes include the following: a complete hardback set of the Twilight Saga collection by Stephenie Meyer which also includes four full-color collectible prints, a $100 gift card to Books-A-Million, and a portable DVD player.
There will be a Library Board meeting at the library on Thursday, July 2, at 5:30.
The library will be closed on Saturday, July 4, for the holiday.
The Library Book Club will be meeting on Thursday, July 16, at 1 pm, to discuss “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett.
