The Teen Summer Reading Program continues through Friday, July 31. At 3:00 pm on Friday, prize winners will be drawn. You still have time to participate. Come by today!
The library is offering some special services for the unemployed. Library staff will assist anyone needing to fill out unemployment benefit applications on the Internet or weekly recertification. Just please call the library in advance to make sure adequate staff are on hand for the time you want to come. If you need copies of your resume, the library is making up to three copies for free. Also, on August 4, from 4:00-5:00 pm, the library will offer a special session titled “Job Searching on the Internet.” No registration is required.
We are continuing to register people for the free email classes that will be held in August. If you would like to learn how to do email, give us a call. We also have several special computer classes for adults scheduled in August. No registration is required for the following sessions: August 11, Beginner’s Buying on eBay; August 18, Beginner’s Selling on eBay; and, August 25, How to use a Flash Drive.
The library will have a fine free period from August 1 through August 15 to help kids get ready for back to school needs. If you have materials that are overdue, return them during this time, and you will not be charged a fee. If you have outstanding fines, call during this period, and they will be erased.
The library is accepting sealed bids on a used computer and desk we have for sale. Bids will be accepted through August 4.
