The Library will be having “Food for Fines” during the entire month of December. If you have overdue materials you need to return or outstanding overdue fines, you can bring non-perishable food items to pay your bill. The food will be given to Hope Ministries to distribute to those in need.

The library has erected a Christmas Giving Tree in the foyer. On the tree, you will find cards with the title, author, and price of at least 80 to 100 books that the library needs to complete various series. Would you like to give a Christmas gift to the whole community? This would be a great way to do it! New or used copies would be accepted, or you could donate the money and designate the book to be bought.

The Library Friends will be having their Christmas potluck on Thursday, December 17, from 4:30-6:30 in the library’s community room. Bring a dish, and join us as we celebrate.

Live Christmas music will fill the air at the library on Friday, December 18, from 12:00-4:30 pm. Local singers and musicians will be performing.

A Family Christmas show called “The Magic of Christmas” is scheduled for the Library on Tuesday, December 22, at 10 am. All children in attendance will receive a free book.

The library will close for two hours, 11:00 am-1:00 pm on December 23, for the staff to have their Christmas party. The library will close at 3:00 pm on December 24 and will remain closed through December 25 for the Christmas holidays. The library will be open on Saturday, December 26.
