Lots of great activities will be happening at the library throughout the summer. Here are just a few of them.

Beginning June 1, youth ages 12-18 may read books for chances to win great prizes that will be drawn for weekly. Prizes include $50 cash, a $20 In His Hands gift certificate, a package of 4 tickets to the movie Eclipse, and an IPod Touch 8 GB.

June 4- The “Imagine That” Crew is “Gonna have a Splish Splash’n Good Time” at the library. There will be two identical shows: one at 10:00 am and one at 1:00 pm.

June 7-One special program especially for the youth ages 12-18 is a release party for the new Twilight book, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner at 10:30 am. The book copy of this book will be released on Friday, June5, and the online version will be released on Monday, June 7. We will have a Twilight themed party with refreshments and a Twilight themed costume contest. The winner will receive a book copy of the new  book. Computers will be set aside for youth to read the online release of the new book.

June 8-Leona from “Between the Lions” will be visiting with us at 2:30 pm. Leona is coming courtesy of WLJT-TV, your local PBS station.

June 11-Chris Rumble will be hosting two “Adventure of Illustration” workshops at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.

We are also having some preschool summer programming this year. The first program will be on June 15 and deal with the “Wonders of Water: The Water Cycle.”

There will be an adult reading program during the month of July.
