Guest author, Barbara Hodge Roach, will be at the library on May 26th from 4:00-5:00 pm talking about her new book, Just so You Know. Barbara has connections to Henderson County with family members and friends in this area; Barbara lived here previously.  Her book is the story of her daughter being kidnapped by people in her own church.

Shiloh Regional Library will open up the library’s summer reading programs with a puppet show at the library on June 1, at 10:00 am.  All ages are invited. Programs will be held every Friday beginning June 10 at 10 am and 1 pm. The last program will be held on July 8 at 1:00 pm.  Special programs for preschoolers will be held on Tuesdays at 10 am beginning June 14 and running through July 19.

Teens will be able to read for a chance at winning some great prizes beginning June 1.  Students entering grades 6-12 will receive one entry for every book read. Prizes include $20 cash, $20 Sonic gift card, $20 iTunes gift card, and an e-reader (winner’s choice of Kindle or Nook).

Clifford the Big Red Dog will be at the library on June 7 at 3:00 pm. Clifford’s visit is being sponsored by WLJT-TV.

Mr. Raymond Waddey has kindly donated one of his very nice paintings for the library to auction. The painting is of a Boeing B-17F 8th Air Force 1943. Silent bids will be taken through June 7th at 5:00 pm. The top two bidders will then face a bid-off. All proceeds will go toward the library’s summer programming.
