Melonie Shelby did a fantastic job presenting “Couponing 101” on Thursday of last week. We have booked her for another presentation called “Couponing 102” for August 4 at 4. This will be a continuation of the great information presented at last week’s session.
This week’s session will be presented by Henderson County UT Extension Agent, Ron Blair. He will be talking about how to raise livestock on just a few acres. In these tough economic times, people are trying to figure out ways to become more self-sufficient. Raising your own livestock is one way to achieve that.
Thursday, July 28, at 4 pm, Henderson County EMA Director, Jim McKee, will be holding a session on how to be prepared for the big earthquake that is expected to hit this area in the near future.
Ray Garton with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will be holding a Boater Education Course here at the library on July 27 from 9 am until 5 pm. Students must be at least 11 years old to be certified and must have purchased type 600 boating permit to take the exam. Students will have approximately one hour for lunch. The class is limited to the first 25 students.
The Career Coach will be at the Library again on July 28 from 10 am through 2 pm.
Preschool Story Time is taking a short recess. When they resume, they will begin meeting on Mondays at 10 am instead of Tuesdays. The next scheduled preschool story time will be on Monday, August 8.
