Our special Black History display can be seen throughout the month of February. This year the participants on display were born, live, go to school or work in Henderson County. This year the following people are displayed: Heavenly Gwen Burton Clark, Professor James Alphonso Cooke, Reverend Lincoln Dent, Ted Dunn, Bryce Ellis, Torrey Durand Greer, Mattie Jane Hamilton, Alisha Gail Hopewell, Khala Hoyle, Autumn Shapri Johnson-Jackson, Sharon Denise Bomer Jones, Brenda Delois Taylor King, J. W. Kizer Jr., Thomas Kizer, Tina Louise Tubbs Kizer, Lt. Victor Stanford, Lawanda Boyd Staten, Chris Thomas, Christy LaShun Clark Thomas, Ernest Ray Thomas Sr., and Krisy Parker Thomas.
The Library Friends are meeting on Thursday evening, February 16, at 5:00. They will be setting up books for their monthly book sale after the meeting. The book sale will be on Friday and Saturday and will be open from 9:00-3:00 on both days.
We will be closed on Monday, February 20, in observance of Presidents’ Day. We will reopen on Tuesday morning. Preschool Story Time will resume on the following Monday.
