can I apply for a library card online or do I have to come in to the library
April 25, 2014 at 7:21 pm
You will have to come into the library to apply for a card. You will need to bring something with your name, and current address. This could be your drivers license, a piece of mail, etc. It is free, as long as you are a resident of Henderson County. If not, it will be $10.

Can I order a book through the internet
November 20, 2014 at 3:00 pm
You can go to the card catalog and sign in using your library card. After signing in, you can reserve books currently housed at Everett Horn, or request interlibrary loans for those we do not have.
January 16, 2015 at 3:43 pm
Do you have public access Wi-Fi for people who bring in their own laptops?
June 21, 2015 at 1:32 pm
Is there no way to fix this problem of not being able to get into the catalog and my account? It’s been this way now for months & months & months… . I can access everything else on the site (Everett Horn Public Library), but still cannot click in any of the boxes on the sign-in page to access my account and history, etc. It’s so frustrating! When I try to click in any of the boxes on that page it just lights up AROUND the boxes and the curser flashes, but then disappears and it’s just the empty box(es). I cannot click INTO the box to sign in or any other box on the catalog page!

Can you re-check out a book online, do you call, or do you have to come to the library?
January 15, 2016 at 2:55 pm
Hannah,
You may call 731-968-3239 to renew or you are more than welcome to renew a book online.
To do so online, please go to our online catalog, found in a link at the top of this page. In the top right corner, click the word “Login”. Select your library should say “EVERETT HORN PUBLIC LIBRARY”. Type in your library card number in the second box. The password the first time you log in will be “userpass”. You will be prompted to change your password once you login. After doing so, in the top right corner, click on “My Account”. Next click on “Items Out” under the menu on the left side of the screen. You will then see a button to renew the items you have on your card.
I hope this helps. If you have any further questions, please feel free to call.

I’m trying to find the date the Long Post Office in the Middleburg community was established in Henderson County. According to Tennessee State Records it ran from 1884-1904 but I cannot find an actual date ? My great uncle W. B. Long established the post office and we are trying to plan a reunion around the date.

I would like to recommend that this “About Us” page is sorted so the most recent comments and replies are at the top instead of having to page down all years to the end. Thank you.
